So I am not the best of bloggers...but since I recently gave up facebook for Lent, I figured I would go ahead and update my blog.
God: God is great and He is always working in my life! I find myself thinking about His grace and love so many times throughout the day...so many thoughts go through my head about how amazing He is and how wonderful his creations are. Every sunset is full of so much beauty, every plant that grows, every creature that walks, and every sound that I hear throughout the day. How could all of this be just a coincidence?? This world is too beautiful to not be a part of His image.
Love: Part of my reasoning (which was completely spontaneous) for giving up facebook for Lent was because I felt that "liking" my friends status wasn't what true friendship was about. I want to share the love I have in my heart with others and build deeper friendships with the people I meet. I want to pick up the phone and call someone who lives 1,000 miles away and hear their voice. I want to get to know my friends better than just what they post online. It's been nice so far, I've called and talked to a few friends and tried to initiate conversations too. I hope that over the next 40 days, God will help me share the love in my heart with my friends and help me to love others well!
Food: I haven't really exercised in about a month and I've been eating more food than I need too and most of it hasn't been good for me...*sigh* say some prayers because I need to find a way to get back on track to being healthy!
Money: Mat and I are so blessed and booked our flight to Europe this month! We have never actually been anywhere outside the US except on a cruise and Mat was technically born in England but that barely counts. Anyways, I am hoping that while we are over seas we can learn more about the history of some of the churches there and find out more about the history during the time of Jesus.
My dad is in town this weekend and Mat's dad was in town a few times over the past few weeks. It's really nice having family around :)
Also, our good friends Jaclyn and Eric had their baby on Friday and I am so excited for them!!! May God bless their family over the years!
